Supplemental Grant Fund
The Cultural Enrichment Fund (CEF), Central Pennsylvania’s united arts fund, issues a request for proposals each year for arts programs designed to integrate cultural appreciation into the everyday lives of underserved audiences.
This supplemental grant fund is designed to expand the organization’s support of the capital region’s arts community beyond its thirteen member groups. Applications will be accepted from any nonprofit organization in the capital region looking to launch or expand a program designed to integrate cultural appreciation into the everyday lives of underserved audiences.
The supplemental grant fund primarily supports programs that use the arts as an educational tool for youth development. The initiative supports a diverse group of arts programs each year with the majority of the funding being targeted at programs serving at risk youth. CEF members are not eligible to receive funding from this grant fund. Instead, it is designed specifically for non-member organizations located within 20 miles of center city Harrisburg.
The Cultural Enrichment Fund’s long term goal with this program is to stimulate future arts audiences and contribute to a more vibrant arts community in the capital region.
The grant application is available here as an MS Word document. Applications are due by May 15, 2012. Applicants may submit funding requests of up to $5,000. A Grant Review Committee has been recruited consisting of leaders from local businesses and community organizations which will make funding recommendations to the CEF Board of Directors. Grant award announcements will be made no later than July 31, 2012.
Grant recipients will be required to sign a grant agreement and submit a final report with documentation of expenditures and program outcomes.
